Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), A Scientific Society of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Govt.of India is looking for R&D engineers in the area of Free & Open Source Software (FOSS) to join a team of professionals! C-DAC provides conducive environment and ambience for research and development with state-of-the art laboratories and computing facilities.

Scale of Pay :     15600-39100+GP 7600/-

(Total emoluments at minimum of the scale is Rs.59000/- approx.)

• First Class in B.E./B.Tech/MCA or equivalent degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Electronics & Telecommunication with 7 years R&D experience

 OR

• First Class in M.E./M.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/ Electronics & Telecommunication with 5 years R&D experience in relevant discipline

 OR

• Ph.D in Computer Science/Information Technology/ Electronics & Telecommunication with 4 years R&D experience in relevant field.

Profile :

Provide technical leadership in the areas of

• Development Tools, Linux Operating Systems, Internals, Communication Protocols.
• SOA, SaaS, Cloud, Mobile platform, XML, SOAP and Application servers.

Experience in Application Software Development, Databases likes MySQL, postgreSQL and Linux device drivers and relevant areas. Awareness of Software Engineering practices, QA processes and methodologies. Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills.

Educational Qualification :

    

• First Class in B.E./B.Tech/MCA or equivalent degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Electronics & Telecommunication with 4 years R&D experience

 OR

• First Class in M.E./M.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Electronics & Telecommunication with 2 years R&D experience in relevant discipline 

OR

• Ph.D in Computer Science/Information Technology/Electronics & Telecommunication.

Profile :     

Experience in the areas of application software Development, Linux Operating Systems, Internals, Web 2.0, Webservices, Database Postgre SQL/MySQL, Programming Languages Perl, Python, PhP & Open Mobile Platform

Experience with Software Engineering tools, QA processes and methodologies will be an added advantage. Experience in preparing proposals, marketing software services and products.Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills.

• First Class in B.E. / B. Tech/MCA or equivalent degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Electronics & Telecommunication OR
• First Class in M.E./M.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Electronics & Telecommunication

Exposure in the areas of Linux Programming, Java, J2EE, Web-based Architectures, XML, SOAP and Application servers, Perl, PhP, Python, Zope, Content Management Tool in FOSS.

Awareness of Software Engineering tools, QA processes and methodologies will be an added advantage.

Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills and marketing skills.

Age :     Not more than 30 years as on 1.9.2009
