NITAT - NIIT National IT Aptitude Test
National IT Aptitude Test is a 90-minute objective-type examination specially designed by NIIT to evaluate IT aptitude.It is India’s largest and most widely Recognized IT Aptitude Test conducted simultaneously across 160+ cities . Over 4 lakh candidates have participated in the test over last four years .It has all round endorsement by media, industry, NASSCOM, IDC and all prominent technology partners of NIIT such as Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, Adobe, EMC, Intel etc.
The test assesses Functional abilities and Behavioral traits that make up IT aptitude which is crucial to gain a foothold in the IT industry. The test does not evaluate IT skills and does not require previous knowledge of computers . Functional abilities assessed are

NITAT 2009
Get your Hallticket endorsed on or after 5th January, 2009 at your nearest NIIT center by paying Rs.100. You will not be allowed to take the test without an attested Hall Ticket. Please report at the assigned Test Venue at least 30 minutes prior to the test start time .Please check your email regularly at the email ID provided in the application form for any further communication.
What NITAT Gives You?
A detailed understanding of your personality profile, strengths and areas of development in addition to your IT aptitude .An experience of the test and a chance to gauge your performance vis-à-vis your peers on a state, zonal and national level .Experience of a nation-wide assessment on a domain that is the entry gate to your career.
Eligibility Criteria
- College/ Engineering Students
- Graduates (Any discipline)
- Students having completed Class 12th (including those awaiting results)
Test Guidelines
- NITAT is an objective type test
- You will be required to answer the questions on a separate answer sheet, marking the correct option
- Assemble at the test venue 30 minutes prior to start of the test. Carry your pens and hall ticket.
- Use of calculators is not allowed
- Any conduct not befitting the decorum of an examination will result in immediate disqualification
Result Interpretation
- The NITAT Scorecard shows the overall IT aptitude score combining the five dimensions of personality described above, along with the Mean score and the highest score of all candidates appearing for NITAT. A qualitative interpretation of this score is also provided
- Relative position (rank and percentile score) on overall IT aptitude on a national, zonal and state level
- Percentile score and ranking among all candidates from the same discipline (eg. Engineering, Arts, Commerce etc.) on a National, Zonal and State level
- Relative position (percentile score) on Functional Abilities and Behavioral Traits, separately assessed among all candidates appearing for NITAT
- A classification of each of the five tested parameters – Numerical Ability, Logical Reasoning & Problem Solving, Verbal Ability, Result Orientation and Team Work – as either a Clear Strength, Moderate Strength or Improvement Area Each candidate appearing for the 5th NITAT will be provided the NITAT Scorecard and can be given personalized feedback, if requested for.

- Top 10% of candidates are eligible to participate in a special NITAT placement fair to be conducted at select metro locations
- A Merit List will be compiled, comprising names of the top one-third performing candidates and made available to major IT/ITeS organizations
- Candidates on this Merit List will receive a Special Recognition Certificate
- These Merit List candidates will also receive special value added privileges for enrolment to NIIT programmes
