I saw a news paper advertisement on Vidya Bharathi Group of Institution contucted ACCA course (Associate of Charted Certified Accountant, UK), this course is like that CA course and this course is valid in india.

ACCA course

 It is popularly known as the British CA, this course is equivalent to CA in India and the CPA of the USA. This course enables one to become a member of the Association of the Chartered Certified Accountants of the United Kingdom. This is a 2/3-year full-time course. Enrollment:

You can enroll throughout the year for the ACCA examinations, which are held twice a year in June and December.

Eligibility:

A number of entry routs are available for admission which takes into account different qualifications and recognition of your previous

qualifications.

 Professional Examination Rout (P E R): For entry to ACCA’s professional qualification you must be at least 18 years of age and meet at least one of the criteria given below.
Entry Criteria: Senior Schools Certificate 10 + 2 (pass in 5 subjects including English and Mathematics / Accounts, mark of 65% in at least 2 subjects and over 50% in the others) / 2 year B.Com /BA/B.Sc (from a recognized institution)

Mature Student Entry Route (M S E R): For entry to ACCA’s Professional qualification via MSER you must be over 21 years old. You must also pass papers M1 and M2 (equivalent to papers 1.1 and 1.2) within two years from the date of your first eligible ACCA examination session.

Certified Accounting Technician (CAT): This is ACCA’s vocational, open-entry introduction to accounting. Applicants who are 16 years or older can complete ACCA’s CAT qualification and will be eligible for direct entry to Part 2 of ACCA’s professional examination.

Duration:

5 Semesters for 10+2 students (2 ½ years)
4 Semesters for B.Com students (2 years)

Commencement:

Admissions will be conducted during June and December every year.

Examinations:

The exams are held twice a year in June and December (The students can sit for a maximum of 4 papers in one sitting).
The ACCA Part 1 exams are conducted by both computers based (CBE) and written mode.
Students can choose either one.
