Salary

• Senior Software Consultant Rs. 30,000/- per month
• Junior Software Consultant Rs. 25,000/- per month

• Programmer Rs. 10,000/- per month during fist year

• Rs.12,000/- per month during second year*
• Rs.15,000/- per month during third year*

*(Subject to satisfactory performance)

• Technician Rs.7,000/- per month during first year
• Rs.11,000/- from third year onwards.

The duly filled up application along with self attested copies of the testimonials to prove age, qualifications, skills, experience etc along with Demand Draft for Rs. 100/- drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, University of Kerala or pay-in slip on remittance to Kerala University Cash Counter shall reach the Registrar, University of Kerala before 5 p.m on 15.05.2009. Nature of appointment

  Appointment shall be on contract basis on  fixed monthly remuneration on the basis of an interview.

Age

  Not exceed 40 years in the case of Software Consultants as on 01.01.2009 and 35 years in the case of others as on 01.01.2009.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Senior Software Consultant

A. Qualifications :-

i. BTech/BE in Computer Science & Engineering or Information Technology with a minimum of 70% marks in aggregate.
OR
MCA with not less than 70% marks in aggregate for both graduation and post graduation.
OR
M.Sc (Computer Science) after completing B.Sc Computer Science with a minimum of 70% marks for both graduation and post graduation.
ii. Candidate with consistently good academic track record with not less than 75% marks in all previous courses will be preferred.

B. Skill Sets needed:-

Applicants should have used all the tools mentioned in at least one of the following four sets for a minimum period of 2 years for software development in networked environment
i. Windows 2003 Server, Oracle 8i/above, VB/VB.Net
ii. Windows 2003 Server, VB/VB.Net, MS-SQL 2000/2005
iii. Windows 2003 Server, ASP.Net, MS-SQL 2000/2005
iv. Linux, My SQL, PHP, Apache

2. Junior Software Consultant

A. Qualifications :-

Same as that of Senior Software Consultant.

B. Skill Sets needed:

Same as that of Senior Software Consultant.

3. Programmers

A. Qualifications :-

i. BTech/BE in Computer Science & Engineering or Information Technology with a minimum of 70% marks in aggregate.
OR
MCA with not less than 75% marks in aggregate for both graduation and post graduation.
OR
M.Sc (Computer Science) after completing B.Sc Computer Science with a minimum of 75% marks for both graduation and post graduation.
ii. Candidate with consistently good academic track record with not less than 75% marks in all previous courses will be preferred.

B. Skill Sets needed:-

Applicants should have used at least one of the four sets of tools mentioned below for a minimum period of six months for software development in networked environment.
i. Windows 2003 Server, Oracle 8i/above, VB/VB.Net
ii. Windows 2003 Server, VB/VB.Net, MS-SQL 2000/ MS-SQL 2005
iii. Windows 2003 Server, MS-SQL 2000, ASP.Net Version 5
iv. Linux, My SQL, PHP, Apache

4. Technician

A. Qualifications :-

i. Diploma in Computer Hardware maintenance OR Computer Engineering issued by Directorate of Technical Education ,Kerala or equivalent with minimum of 70% mark.
ii. Candidate with consistently good academic track record with more than 75% marks in all previous courses will be preferred.

Experience Required

i. Senior Software Consultant

i. Should have at least 4 years experience in developing software with RDBMS tools for networked environment, using capabilities of store procedures, 3-tier architecture.
ii. Should be conversant with design of database with normalized tables
iii. Should have a minimum of 2 years experience in leading a team engaged in software development using RDBMS tools.
Period of Contract: 3 Years.

ii. Junior Software Consultant

i. Should have at least 2 years experience in developing software with RDBMS tools for networked environment using store procedures, 3-tier architecture etc.
ii. Should be conversant with design of database with normalized tables
iii. Should have a minimum of 1 year experience in leading a team engaged
in software development using RDBMS tools.
Period of Contract: 3 Years.

iii. Programmer

i. 6 months experience in software development using the tools mentioned above. Projects done as part of academic programme also
will be considered.
Period of Contract: 2 Years.

iv. Technician

i. Experience in installing and configuring LAN and WAN systems
ii. Knowledge of Apache/IIS is essential
iii. Experience in trouble shooting LAN systems/ PC / Servers essential
Period of Contract: 3 Years.
