The fast growing tourism, globalization, upcoming lifestyles have provided a wide chance for the hotel business. This business has opened a wide variety of employment opportunities, both inside the country and in foreign countries too.  The advantage of food craft courses is that it can  provide you different ways to get in to the 3 star hotel management programs after your academic studies.

Most of the hotels provides free accommodation, uniforms etc for the students. But they will only teach you in any one of the field in the hotel management program. Now a day’s people qualified in food craft courses are in great demand in hotels, restaurants, canteens, ships, hospitals also in large scale industries. Each course is divided in to 9 months theory class and 3 months practices in the hotel business field, altogether it comprises of a 1 year course.

The selection criterion is based on the qualification examination. The candidates attempted more than 3 times for the examination need not apply for the course. The candidates who won the qualification examination in his/her 2nd or 3rd attempt will get his/her rank decreased accordingly with 5-10 marks. The scheduled castes can also obtain the form by paying Rs 50. Also you can get the form by post at Rs 125 only. Scheduled castes can get the form by post at Rs 75.You can draft the money in the name -Principal, Food Craft Institute through any state bank of Travancore branch .Except in Udumma, you can draft to the Syndicate Bank in Udumma.

All centers have their particular forms for application. But you can sent just one application form to a single center. Higher secondary passed students can also apply for the courses offered to the SSLC passed students. Filled application will be accepted till May 31st.  Caste based concessions are provided for the entrance of professional courses.
